Time to tell the kids!

     

Today was the big day! Derek, McKenna and Shiloh arrived from Tennessee and we gathered our children and spouses together and shared the news.  

As we sat everyone down the emotions began to come and all of a sudden our oldest Ashley began to cry and said, “ no don’t say it, I know what you’re going to say.” The kids looked at her then back at us and Paul proceeded to share the news that we had been called to serve as Mission President and companion.  

Ashley, Brooke and Kirsten along with Paul and I were all crying and the boys were saying how awesome this news was and how they ALL were not surprised.  

We spent the next hour talking about this experience that would affect us all and the possibilities of where we could go. 

Knowing that we were to receive our assignment before Christmas we began making plans for Derek, McKenna and Shiloh to return on December 11^th and began praying it would all fall into place.
