Your Mission Assignment is Ready!

Here we go!

It was a snowy Thursday morning.  Brooke and Rhett had asked if they could come over and make Christmas candy for one of Rhett’s Christmas advent calendar activities, so we were busy in the kitchen making the candy when all of a sudden Brooke says, “Ummm Mom,

My email had popped up on my phone.

Your mission assignment is ready!

It was 11:00am and yep my phone was highlighted and an email from the missionary department showed up.  I did not open it but immediately called Paul. Of course he did not answer so I texted him to call me ASAP! A few minutes later I get a text from him saying “Oh my!!!!!!

As soon as he could, he called me back and we immediately texted the kids and said, “It’s here!!!” The text started flowing!

With Derek, McKenna and Shiloh coming on Saturday we have to wait a few days before we can open the email, and we will open it Sunday afternoon.

The following day we got the official letter in the mail! This is becoming more and more real.

I am so humbled and blessed! I know without a doubt that the Lord has been aware of my feelings. The thought of leaving my kids and grandchildren for THREE YEARS has been so hard and the Lord knows that and has been right by our sides these past few months and I know he will continue to be there for us. He has answered every prayer we have offered knowing how important it has been for us to have our whole family together when we told them of our call and now when we open our assignment.  For this I am so extremely grateful.

We love the Lord and although it will be hard to be away for 3 years I truly know he will take care and bless each member of my family.
