A FEW HAPPENINGS!

Here are a random few happenings in the mission this week.

We traveled to Chetumal (our furthest area) and visited with our missionaries and stake presidency. We then went to our 2 branches in the mission, which are little pueblos about 4 hours away from Cancun. Jose Maria Morelos and Carrillo Puerto. We are so humbled by the people and the areas in our mission. These beautiful people live in small home or most cases little huts, some with wood walls and branches as roofs, some with cinder block and dirt floors and more. They are so kind and loving and would give you the shirt off their back even if they didn't have another to replace it. We love these people!!

We have said many times that people would tease us that we were going on a vacation, this is NO vacation. We have yet to see anything you would call paradise, yet this is paradise!

We had a mission wide area conference where they had all the youth in our Cancun Mission who are at the age to submit mission papers attend. We had a few of our missionaries there so they could help with the youth. President shared his testimony and we heard from all the stake presidents in our mission and our Area Seventy. They had doctors, dentist, hairstylist and photographers there so that by the end all these youth had to do was hit the submit button and their papers were submitted. It was a very neat experience and we were grateful to be a part of it.

President is now a hairdresser!(haha)  He did a pretty good job!
