MISSION LEADERS SEMINAR!
As Mission Leaders we gathered together for training and support. This was our first opportunity to attend and there were too many blessings to count.
We were able to meet other mission leader couples serving in the
Mexico Area. A few were new like us, and dear friends whom we trained with, but
most had been serving for a while and offered invaluable advice and
support. It was so wonderful to finally meet those whom we had spoke with
many times and have given us love and support.
We were so very blessed to learn from Elder Gerrit W. Gong of the
Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. His counsel and direction was so tender and
personal. His sweet wife Susan gave us wonderful counsel as well.
We received training from Elder Teixeira and our area presidency -
Elder Montoya, Elder Ochoa and Elder Douglas. While Paul attended specific
trainings, I was able to spend time with and be taught by Sister Teixeira,
Sister Montoya, Sister Ochoa and Sister Douglas. They are remarkable!
We love our missionaries and feel so fortunate to learn important
ways to teach the Doctrine of Christ to our elders and sisters. Our greatest
desire is that each and every one of our missionaries will gain a personal
testimony of their missionary purpose and choose to become lifelong disciples
of Jesus Christ.
We returned to our mission with a fresh view, a renewed sense of
hope and direction, and an overwhelming love for our savior.
We are very grateful.
