TRANSFER WEEK #7
This past week was our 7th transfer week ~ WOW I can't believe we have been on the mission for 8 months!!
On Monday, 11 new missionary arrived! We love welcoming these missionaries and the love we have felt for them since learning of there call is even greater when we finally meet. We are so grateful for their faith and love for the Lord and the wonderful people of Mexico. They will definitely add to our mission!
Transfers are always an exciting and nerve racking day, a day that is filled with lots of emotions. Leading up to transfer week is always a busy time for sure with all the planning and preparation that goes into a transfer. We actually start the process of the new transfer the day after transfers. There is also a lot of movement that is involved in transfers. Getting missionaries to and from areas, with their new companions and a whole lot more. Doing this for 124 missionaries is not easy and takes time and a lot of work. We spend a lot of time on our knees seeking guidance and direction as to where each missionary should serve and whom they should serve with. Sometimes our missionaries wonder why they are paired with the companion they are with, we always testify to them that the Lord paired them together because they have something to learn from each other. The Lord is truly in the details and knows what the new missionary and all the missionaries need in order to grow and progress. It may not be easy for all but we pray our missionaries will have faith and trust in the Lord and even pray to know why they are with their companions and why they are in the area they are in. These companionships are truly created by revelation.
This transfer we also said goodbye to our Assistant Elder Hazelhofer 😢 as he went back out into the field to finish his mission. Our new Assistant is Elder Orme and we are excited to work closer with him.
Besides transfers we had baptisms, a flooding at the church, stake conferences and a few challenges that came our way. We love our missionaries and are very grateful for this opportunity to serve! As we have said before each day is very different and brings on different challenges, adventures and opportunities. As much as we miss our family and friends, We wouldn't want to be anywhere else!
