A short visit home and my yearly cancer checkup!
I will forever be grateful that as a Mission Leader I am allowed to go home for my yearly cancer checkups and to be a mom / grandma for a short time! While I was home, we were blessed with our 12th grandchild Dutton born to Kirsten and Ben. He is the sweetest little baby and yes I'm a little obsessed!
I loved being with my family, I missed Derek and his family and of course Presidente (he's not allowed to go home.) While home I was able to go to a few soccer games, our granddaughter Kenzie was baptized (so grateful that under unique circumstances the stake baptisms were delayed and Kenzie was able to wait a few extra weeks and be baptized when I was home) And was the first one to sign our grandson Rhett's cast! Yes he broke his arm the day I arrived and he wanted grandma to be the first to sign his cast! I love and miss our children and grandchildren so very much but I'm eternally grateful for their love and support for Presidente and I and for each other. They have been stretched many times but have been there for each other!
I also had the opportunity to go to one of our Elders homecoming talk! One of our Assistants returned home this transfer and it was so fun to meet his family and see a few of our returned missionaries! Oh how we love the Elders and Hermanas like they are our own!
