ONE OF THE BEST TRANSFERS YET!
We've had a busy few weeks here in the mission and now I'm finally trying to catch up.
Once again we are having transfers and this transfer I will say is one of the best transfers yet! You ask why? Because we didn't have any missionaries return home this transfer!! WOOHOO 🥳 We love our missionaries like they are our own and it is always hard when we have to say goodbye to those returning home. So grateful that this transfer no missionary was returning home!!
This transfer we gained 3 Hermanas and will unfortunately have to wait a little longer for our Elder as his visa hasn't arrived just yet. We love our new missionaries and they bring such joy, light and energy into our mission. ¡Bienvenido a la MEJOR misión!
Other events in the mission over the past several weeks have been, Multi Zone Conferences, District Councils, Zone Conferences, attending baptisms, new missionary training, MLC, Stake Conferences, Interviews, p~day at the mission home for a few zones here in Cancun, taking a few zones to lunch, and meeting the Cancun soccer team. Of course I had to take a picture and send to my grandsons. 😜 We look forward to doing this more often. What a joy it is to be surrounded by amazing missionaries and we are so grateful for this opportunity to serve with them. Thank you parents for sharing your amazing sons and daughters with us!
We also LOVE when missionaries return with their families to visit, IT MAKES OUR DAY!!! It's not too often that we get to see our former missionaries in person and to finally be able to give them a hug, but it makes for a great day! Like I have said they are part of our family now and we keep in contact with many of them. I mean after all I am their second mom (😁) and I need life updates! This time we had one of our first Assistants Elder Hazelhofer return and it was so fun to meet his parents and brother and to just catch up. We have missed him (and all our other missionaires) Even our kids know when to call so they can say hi to him! They miss him too! 😂
We love and miss our family back home but we are grateful they are all doing well! The grandkids are back in school and keeping very busy with all their extra activities. Sports, dance, sports and did I mention sports! We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of grandbaby #13 in just a few short weeks.
We love this work and we love the MMC (Mission Mexico Cancun)!
