A UNIQUE TRANSFER INDEED!
A unique transfer indeed!
Today we welcomed 8 amazing Hermanas and Elders to our mission family and we love them already!! We are still anxiously awaiting our 12 visa waiters who we hope and pray will join us soon in the MMC!!
You ask why was this transfer unique. This transfer we had 8 different flights arriving, starting at 10:00am and ending at 1:30am (yes you read that right!) We had a few of our flights delayed but 2 of our Elders flights got delayed until 10:48 pm and by the time they got out of customs and got their luggage it was 1:30 am before we got back to the mission home. So with this crazy transfer we needed to change how we did transfers. Usually our new missionaries arrive, we feed them, Presidente visits with them, we do training and then they meet their trainers and are off to start in their new area. This transfer was definitely different and most of that did not happen on their arrival day, but by Friday evening our new Hermanas and Elders had their training, met their trainers and were finally off to start in their 1st area.
Bienvenidos Misioneros! ¡Los amamos y estamos muy agradecidos de poder servir juntos!
When you welcome new missionaries that usually means you have to say goodbye to some returning home. Luckily this transfer we only had to let 2 Elders return home. Well done elders, we love you and will miss you! We wish you the best in this next chapter of your lives.
We love this work and we love our missionaries!
