WHERE DOES THE TIME GO!

Where does the time go?  It's been a number of weeks since I posted and we’ve had some wonderful gatherings with our missionaries.  We have traveled/interviewed the whole mission, we've had a few stake conferences, mission leadership council, multi zone conferences, Elders conference by zoom, transfers, baptisms and more.

We just had transfers again and YEAH we FINALLY recieved all of our visa waiters, all 10 of them!! We happily welcomed 14 missionaries this transfer!  Unfortunately we also had to say goodbye to 10 amazing missionaries.  Can I just say this is such a bittersweet time.  We so love these amazing missionaries and it breaks our hearts to say goodbye. When we actually hug them for the last time and watch them go up the escalator to security, we are so sad they are leaving yet happy for their next chapter in life.  We are happy that they have completed something hard and we were blessed to watch them as they grew. But we also feel a little sad because we love them so much and some of these missionaries we may never see in person again.  We are so grateful for technology so we can always stay in touch!

It’s hard to believe that we have been in the mission now for 1 year and 10 month! But who's counting! 😜 We are now to the point (actually last transfer) where all of our Hermanas we send home are the Hermanas we welcomed into the mission. And next transfer we’ll begin to send home the Elders that we welcomed to the mission 2 years ago.  Time is starting to speed up.

Our family back home is doing good. We love that they are happy and get together often and are there to support each other. Makes this momma heart happy as I miss them terribly! At times this is very hard, but I'm grateful to be spending my time with our missionaries and doing the work of the Lord, and to do this with my best friend is truly rewarding. I love the quote to missionaries by Elder Holland, and I believe it applies to Mission Presidents, he says "All the hardships, all the tears, all the hard work will be looked back upon as the best thing you've ever done, not because you enjoyed it, (although we do) not because you baptized everyone, but because you gave everything you had, even when you didn't think you could." Even during the hard days, I am eternally grateful for this opportunity to be with my companion 24/7 and to serve with these amazing missionaries and to serve the Lord with all our heart, mind and strength.

Attending the Hacienda Stake Conference. Elder & Sister Ochoa were here as they Sustained a new Stake Presidency. Grateful to spend some time with them! We love the Ochoa's!
