TIME FLIES BUT MEMORIES LAST!
Time flies but memories last! It’s hard to believe that we have passed our 2 year mark and we are in the last year of our service. What a privilege it has been to serve alongside these amazing missionaries, now and in the past, as we have done our best to help gather Israel. Though we have had our share of challenges, we have truly been blessed and our family has been blessed.
Monday is our mission's Preparation Day (P-day), but President and I rarely get a chance take it. In the 2 years we have been here I can count on both hands the times we have taken one! I know it’s pretty sad! Because we only have 1 year left, Presidente and I have promised to do better, take more p-days and enjoy the beautiful place we have called home these past few years! Our neighborhood alone is absolutely beautiful and we comment all the time how much we will miss this. But…we rarely see the beautiful touristy places everyone thinks about when they hear Cancun Mexico. Our mission is the opposite. So having said all this, YES this past week we FINALLY took a p-day! We went to see some of the tourist things here in Cancun. It was a much needed relaxing day and we enjoyed being just us with only a few interruptions from missionaries.
We’ve had several gatherings in the mission. We are cherishing our time as it is going by very quickly! We had transfers where we welcomed in 11 new missionaries and we said goodbye to 10. Again a bittersweet few days! We’ve had New Missionary Training, Multi Zone Conferences, Mission Leadership Council, Baptisms, Interviews, Traveling the Mission, Stake Conferences, Enfasis Misional and more, then the 6 week cycle starts over again. Wow time is flying by!
I continue to be amazed by our missionaries. They are a wonderful example to me, they teach me, encourage me and lift and inspire me more than they realize. I love when I get to spend my time with them!
We are so grateful to the Lord that He sent us here! We love this place, we love the people and we love that we get to serve alongside our amazing missionaries!
